We wanted to make metal 3D printed knife scales but most of the work is done in the designing and prototyping for a project like this. We like to walk you through the ups, downs, and problem solving parts of making this knife handle because that’s where the “meat” really is once all the testing is done, you just order it and the metal print arrives and you hope it works!

This was our first time working on a knife project and it was so fun. The knife kit was easy to put together and we now have so many ideas of different designs for the knife scales we could do. We love that with 3D printing, we were able to print something that would be really difficult to manufacture in any other way.
