More crops brings more pests to our gardens. Most devastative one is the Squash Vine Borer moth & its larvae which can definitely killed squash & pumpkin plants. In our garden, we delayed planting the more resistant Butternut squash, and they are fruiting right now. Hopefully we'll be able to get mature fruit before the cold weather sets in.

More garden pests : Slug damage is pretty severe this year.
Truffle is not here to hunt down the grasshoppers and white cabbage butterflies. I didn't have hornworms in the tomato plants last year. I've found two of them this year. Is it because I didn't have marigolds around the tomato plants or because Truffle wasn't here lately? Cucumber striped beetles and earwigs are less numerous now. Maybe the neem oil spray did help control them.
