A good sleeping bag is a foundational part of any motorcycle camping gear setup, but even the best motorcycle camping sleeping bag doesn't do much good if you can't actually get it to your campsite. Most people who pack a sleeping bag for motocamping use the traditional compression sack method to save as much space as possible in their motorcycle luggage for their other gear, but fewer people know about the two other very effective ways to pack a sleeping bag for motorcycle camping.

Option 2 sounds kind of weird at first but it has a bunch of advantages. You can just stuff your sleeping bag into your pannier or other motorcycle luggage and use it to fill in the gaps and cushion all your other gear inside your bag.

Option 3 is the most self contained because it involves stuffing your moto camping sleeping bag into a separate dry bag that you then just attach to the top of your motorcycle. This optimizes the weight distribution of your motorcycle camping gear and protects your sleeping bag from the elements all while keeping your moto sleeping bag separated from the rest of your gear and therefore clean and easy to access.
