Cake Box Hack: Replace the egg and the oil with one can of rinsed and drained chickpeas. Add the chickpeas to a blender with the amount of water the box calls for and blend into a mixture. Add the cake box ingredients to the chickpea mixture and follow the rest of the recipe as directed on the box.
*Use chickpeas in cake boxes, even if it is a chocolate cake.

Tofu Frosting: 1 package firm tofu warmed in the microwave, 1 package melted chocolate chips. Add powdered sugar to taste.

Avocado Frosting: Avocados work as a 1 to 1 swap for butter in any frosting recipe. This recipe I used was 2 avocados, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 4 cups powdered sugar, lemon or lime juice (to prevent browning)

Glaze for donuts: Powdered sugar and plant milk.

Brownies: Omit the water it calls for on the box. Omit the eggs. Swap the oil for water. Add a can of rinsed and drained black beans to the water and blend. Add the rest of the ingredients to the bean mixture. Black bean brownies work best if you can add extra chocolate chips or add frosting.
