3 RV AC Mods to Improve Performance and Reduce Noise

Follow
On the Road with Ron

My Coleman Mach 8 AC is noisy and cannot keep the RV cool when the temps get over 100 degrees. Here are 3 mods I made to get the most performance out of it. Baffles to increase air flow, insulation to cut down on the heat coming into the AC unit on the roof and adding a Microair soft start so I can run the AC from batteries and my 2000 watt inverter when I can't run the diesel generator. AC is now 9 dBA quieter running on batteries than when using the generator. I got the inside temp down to 84 before my inverter overheated.
