In Tokyo, there are numerous famous spots for weeping cherry blossoms. As the name suggests, these are cherry trees with branches drooping downwards. They bloom earlier than Somei Yoshino, and are currently in full bloom. Here, I will introduce the scenic views of the five famous spots for weeping cherry blossoms as of March 31, 2024: Shinjuku Gyoen, Rikugien Garden, Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, Ueno Park, and Sensoji Temple.

東京には、しだれ桜の名所が数多くあります。その名の通り枝が垂れ下がった桜の総称ですがソメイヨシノよりも開花時期が早く、見頃になりました。そこでしだれ桜の中でも名所である新宿御苑、六義園、小石川後楽園、上野恩賜公園、浅草寺のつの名所での2024年3月31日現在の当日風景を紹介します。新宿御苑はソメイヨシノは一分ほどの開花ですが、しだれ桜と早咲きの高遠小彼岸桜が満開でした。
