On April 25th, 2024, the Contra Costa District Attorney's Office hosted its annual Victims' Rights Recognition Ceremony. This year's theme is "How would you help?" It asks those who knows someone who is a crime victim how they can support a family member, friend, coworker, or acquaintance who have experienced a traumatic situation. The ceremony reflects on victims of various crimes, acknowledges a Jane Doe in a Special Courage Award presentation, and also includes a musical tribute performed by crime survivors from The Latina Center in Richmond, CA.
