Yo what's up guys, this was my first year at the D100 and holy cow it exceeded my expectations. We got there Thursday night around 1am and it was PACKED already!! It snowed the next morning and rained all day, the roads around camp got super swampy but everyone seemed to have fun with all the mud around. The next two days the sun was out and all the mud dried up, the ground was slightly damp which made for perfect racing conditions!

Saturday my family and I did the poker run, that was a lot of fun because there was no pressure to ride fast, we just had fun with it! That was a good opportunity for me to see what the terrain was going to be like for the Sunday D100 race.

Sunday, race day! There was a riders meeting at 830am, and directly after that we lined up for the race. There was so many bikes I think the race didn't start till about 10am, it took a long time to get everyone lined up! The starting line and directions of the race changes every year so it's a secret, also they fire a cannon to start the race, which it's location is also a secret hahaha!

The start of the race was by far the most dangerous part of the race. I was warned by my friends who have raced it before but I didn't know what to expect. The bushes you have to ride through are very thick at the base, so you can't actually ride through the bush or you'll risk washing out and crashing. Also there are lots of hidden rocks the size of a football that you can't see in my video that could easily take you down. Lastly, there are bikes all around you and you're at risk of getting hit by someone else! So keeping mindful of your surroundings is very important! Watch out for other riders!

I was running a 2023 KX250r for this race. The stock tank is 1.6 gallons so I carried fuel with me just in case. I lugged the bike in 4th and 5th gear most of the race to save fuel, and I didn't run out! For this race I really focused on riding safely, I had one crash on the first lap due to someone else hitting me, and no crashes my second lap. Anyways, thanks for watching! Ride safe, have fun!
