WOMENS WEDNESDAY!!!

Much like Canada vs. USA, the Slovaks and Czechs always put on a great performance when facing each other. Whether its in the Junior's, Men's, Women's, Master's, or Legend's World Championship, these two teams always fight to the bitter end.

The Czech and Slovak Women would battle for the right to play in the gold medal game, and boy did both teams understand the assignment. Each goaltender was excellent but the offensive firepower would show up late in the game. The unstoppable one, Nela Lopusanova, would be the difference maker scoring the GWG on a breakaway shortly after the Czechs had tied the game at 44.

Paula Mendelikova was a stud for the Slovaks in this one and Martina Landova really stood out for the Czechs. The Slovaks would advance to play Canada in the U21 Gold Medal Match and the Czechs would matchup with USA in the Bronze Medal Match.
