The 2022 Acura NSX Type S (~$225,000 CAD as specced, $187,000 USD as specced) is up against a piece of its own history the 1999 Alex Zanardi Edition NSX ($A LOT CAD, $ TOO MUCH USD). With only 51 roadgoing examples made exclusively for the American market, the Alex Zanardi Edition NSX is rare, ultralightweight, and can be considered as the North American equivalent of the Japanonly NSX Type S from yesteryear.

The new 2022 NSX Type S is a hybrid, has three electric motors and allwheel drive. It also has more than double the horsepower of the Zanardi Edition. But does more power evoke more emotion?
