After completing an undefeated regular season by besting their division rivals LSU and Mississippi State. Then defeating their most bitter rival Auburn in a highly contentious Iron Bowl. And dominating the seemingly invincible Florida Gators with their Heisman Trophy winning quarterback. The Alabama Crimson Tide certainly earned their spot in the BCS National Championship at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California where they faced off against the Texas Longhorns. The game started out good but things took a shocking turn when a big hit knocked Texas quarterback Colt McCoy out of the game for good. Alabama went on to easily claim a National Championship and complete Alabama's reemergence as the premier college football program in the land.
