83mm pulley and Bosch 010 intercooler pump are the only current modifications. These are all soft pulls, nothing too crazy but you can still see the shear speed of this vehicle. It's a civilized beast and you can daily drive it everyday especially if you're in an area with warmer climate.

One of the best sedans available non the market and I would have this 16 year old car over anything new at the moment.

Does it break? Of course it does, just like anything else that's manmade but doesn't detract from the overall appeal of the car at all. In my opinion, this is one of the best looking sedans ever produced with a timeless design that reminds me of the 2000s Lexus GS.

I know what you're going to say, it only has 469 hp and not 496 hp like the sl55 or s55. There's absolutely zero documentation available that proves MB used different internal components inside of the cheaper ($80k when new) E55 when compared to the more expensive SL55 or S55.

So if you logically think about it, they underrated the HP figures in the E55 to create a perception of delineation between the three different class of cars but I promise you it's all in the mind of the consumer. The engine and transmission is the same. The SL55 in 2006 got a larger TB (82mm I think) so that's why it's reported with a higher HP numbers.
