2 Things a Cardiac Examination Needs to be Complete

Follow
Dr. Pradip Jamnadas, MD

In this video I will explain today many patients are getting an incomplete cardiac examination. A coronary calcium score, also known as a heart scan, is vitally important together with a metabolic syndrome workup in the evaluation of cardiovascular disease. The traditional workup of a stress test, echocardiogram, and routine lipid blood tests is inadequate cardiac examination on its own. Knowing whether you have coronary calcium and risk factors allows potent lifestyle changes and dietary interventions to be made.
