Do you think you are really strong mentally?
On November 27, 2000, David Blaine began one of the toughest endurance challenges of his career. Locked in a massive block of ice in Times Square for 63 hours, 42 minutes and 15 seconds, he battled severe sleep deprivation and freezing temperatures before being hacked out with chainsaws.
However, not sleeping for hours took a serious toll on David. He explains that once past the 55th hour his eyes popped out. In other words, he began to hallucinate and said: Things move, spiders crawl up my arm and I see people on the ice... voices speak to me and I respond to them.
