2 Abandoned Lion Cubs Kruger Park Game Drives.

First, I found the 2 cubs alone right next to the road then their mother came from across the dry river bed the cubs ran from this side down to the dry river bed, to meet her the 3 had a small quick reunion but the mother immediately left again(back on the hunt or maybe looking for a 3rd cub?).

She obviously told them to stay as they did not move from that spot for several hours(they almost looked like Elephant dung with the naked eye and other cars drove right past until we stopped them and told them) then another female showed up(most probably their "aunt") as she went and laid a few meters away but the cubs stayed at exactly the same spot which their mother told them to stay(during the quick reunion) then the aunt left as well and crossed the road in front of us.

Lionesses with cubs often get help from another female in the pride when the cubs are still young. We sat there for just over 6 hours waiting patiently to see what the outcome will be but left when the 2nd Lioness moved off and left the 2 cubs yet again abandoned...

Later that evening, we got the news that the mother returned and all 3 left together. A huge sigh of relief!
