1982 OP Pro Surf Contest in Huntington Beach Pro Surfing was on the cusp of the surf wear explosion out of Orange County in the 80's and this contest was a signal that surfing's time had come. Massive crowds like never before came down to the coast in Huntington Beach ("Surf City") to witness this event. Video features Cheyne Horan, Shaun Tomson, Mark Richards and many top California Pros of the time, including an emerging Tom Curren in one of his first pro contests.
