Unusual opportunity to own a beautiful, low mileage, wellpreserved 1954 Ford F100 Pickup.

When you climb inside this old truck, it is quite incredible. The interior paint, kick panels, gauges, switches, headliner, etc., appear to be completely original with very clearly little use. Even the rubber floor mat appears that it may be original, along with a clutch and brake pedal rubber. So much of this becomes evident when you start opening the ashtray and the glove box and examine the headliner, kickpanels, and looking at everything closely and critically.

This special truck sat in a barn in Iowa for decades until being rescued by an enthusiast around 2005. Discovering only 23k miles on the truck at the time, he carefully restored the exterior and the other items needing attention. Since its revival, it has been properly stored and cared for, having traveled only around 5k miles. This special 110" wheelbase halfton truck was built in Twin City and delivered in Glacier Blue with its stillpresent 223ci 6cylinder OHV 102HP engine, 3speed manual transmission, and 3.92 rear axle. Only 101,202 of these trucks were produced in 1954 compared to its much more common equivalent Chevrolet/GMC rivals that produced significantly more.

The front seat was redone using a perforated material rather than straight vinyl to provide more breathability. Otherwise, the interior looks to be totally stock and mostly factory original. The temperature, fuel, speedometer, and odometer are all in working order, along with all of the lighting, blinkers which are properly canceling, wipers, horn, heater fan, and choke. The gauge cluster is immaculate. It's a very comfortable truck with windows that roll up and down with ease and doors that shut nice and tight.

The exterior was beautifully refinished in its original color, Glacier Blue, with great care taken to mask and preserve all of the original paint still present in the jambs and throughout the interior, giving this 67yearold icon a wonderful overall appearance. The bumpers were rechromed, and the grill refreshed, and it appears that the lenses have been replaced. The wood in the bed was replaced and is beautifully finished. The rubber is all well preserved and still intact, as is the original trim and badging.

The engine compartment was restored as needed though the original paint on the 223ci 6cylinder engine was left purposely untouched and still bears the factory "Cost Clipper 6" decal, goldfinished valve cover and air cleaned housing. The block retains its original red paint as well. It appears to have its original starter, coil and fuel pump, radiator, generator all in excellent working order. The truck starts instantly and runs smoothly with no smoke, and sounds excellent. Cooling, shifting, suspension, and brakes perform nicely, making it easy and relaxing to drive. It rides on what appear to be the original, refinished steel rims with an older set of biasply tires, though could be replaced with a Coker or Lucas retrostyle radial to further enhance the ride on this already wonderful driving classic truck.
