1941 Greyhound "Silverside" Bus.
One of the great American Icons of the 20th Century along with Jeeps and Coca Cola. Introduced at the 1939 New York World’s Fair as the “Silverside”, it goes down in history as the most popular and best loved bus of all time.
There are only 4 or 5 known Silversides restored to this condition. There were 500 built in 1940 and 1941 by Yellow Coach. This is the only prewar Yellow Coach on the road today. In 194748 GM built 2,000 very similar Silversides. When both models were retired, they all had 23 million miles on them and worn out. This took 4 years and several thousand hours to bring it to its present condition.
Incredible attention when its viewable. Possible uses as a corporate symbol, food servicerestaurant attraction, movies, motor home or like the Ford Trimotor Aeroplane used for display and operable.
