Cats are pretty special. Did you know they tamed themselves? They figured out they'd have a good life living on a farm with people and they were right! There was plenty to eat (like mice and rats that tried to eat the grain), and plenty of petting and affection from the people! That happened about 10,000 years ago, and since then people have bred cats to produce all kinds of different kitties. Different coats, different behaviors, etc. We love them all!
