交尾管とは交尾器をメスの体内に挿入後、雌の受精嚢まで伸びる管です。
精包とはタンパク質でできたカプセルで中に精子が入っています。交尾したオスは交尾管を使用し、以前に交尾したオスの静包をかき出し、自分の静包のみを雌の受精嚢に残します。
