Have you ever seen someone that just looked odd? Whether it’s an arm longer than the other or a
particularly large head, some people just have unusual body parts.
For most of these people, it's a fact of life, but for others, their body features are so extraordinary that
we cannot but gape and wonder aloud— how did that even happen?
Whether it be 10 foot long toenails or eyelashes four inches long, these people show us that impossible
is nothing.
Today, we'll be looking at ten people with extraordinarily long body features.
#10 Largest Hands
Some people have big hands, and some people have small hands. But what are the chances that you've
seen someone with a really gigantic hand? How do you think that sort of hand would look like?
Well, you could probably ask Sultan Kösen, the Guinness World Record holder for the largest hands, and
he'd have one or two things to tell you about gigantic hands. He could also tell you something about
how it feels to be the tallest man in the world— because he holds the world record for that too.
His hands are pretty large and measure 27.5 cm. Unfortunately, Sultan needs crutches to walk because
he's extremely tall. He stands at a height of 8ft 1in. and he has been able to reach such a height because
of a condition called acromegaly. It affects his pituitary gland and was caused by a tumor.
Thankfully, Sultan has been able to manage his condition properly and he's still alive today.
#9 Longest Tongue
How long is your tongue? How long do you think the average tongue is? 5 centimeters? 6? 7?
Well, the average adult male's tongue is 8.5 centimeters, and the average female's tongue is 7.9
centimeters. That's why you would find it incredibly odd to discover that Nick Stoeberl, an American,
holds the record for the longest tongue. His tongue is a whopping 10.1 centimeters long.
That, in itself, is a remarkable thing to learn. But that's not all about Nick Stoeberl. No, that's not all at
all. There's still so much more to know.
Nick, a 26yearold standup comedian, says that he feels that holding the record for the longest tongue
is a great honor. And what's more, he feels that his gift should be used for the betterment of humanity.
And how does Nick plan to accomplish this, you may ask? Well, he decided to use his tongue as a
paintbrush to paint. He dips his tongue into acrylic paint and then uses it to paint on canvas.
Nick has done several paintings like this, including one of Steve Harvey and another of a beaver.

But, whatever you may think of this idea, it wasn't originally Nick's. In fact, Nick got the idea from a
painter in India who also made paintings with his tongue. It takes Nick, on an average, 5 hours to
complete each painting. To avoid swallowing paint, he uses a Saran wrap on his tongue first.
It'd probably also interest you to know that Nick has also been awarded another record for his work
using his tongue. His tongue painting of a Beaver was adjudged to be the largest painting of a beaver
made with the tongue.
So, through all this, you may be thinking why Nick doesn't just paint with his hands like a regular person.
Well, the answer is simple. Hand paintings don't just have enough je ne sais quoi.
What does that mean? I don't know.
#8 Widest Mouth
Have you ever been told you have a big mouth? Have you ever wondered if your mouth was indeed the
biggest in the world like your mum always said?
Well, good news. Your mouth isn't the biggest in the world, and to be honest, it's probably not close.
The owner of that record is Francisco Domingo Joaquim and he is the proud owner of 6.69 inches wide
mouth.
We don't know how that works out, but it works out anyway. Just so you know, Francisco's mouth is so
wide that it can actually accommodate a can of coke. Imagine that.
#7 Longest Beard
How long do you think a proper moustache should be? Two centimeters? Three? Six?
Do you think that anyone has a good reason to have a moustache longer than a foot? Well, if you do,
then you would be interested in knowing Ram Singh Chauhan. And why is this fellow important? Simple,
really. He holds the record for the longest moustache in the world. And how long is this moustache?
14 feet.
Yes, you heard that right. Ram Singh Chauhan was able to grow his moustache to 14 feet. Ram Singh, a
65 years old man from Rajasthan, has been growing his moustache for more than thirtytwo years. Just
imagine that— not shaving for thirtytwo years.
