One of the greatest of all Indonesian street foods is nasi goreng, or Indonesian fried rice. He makes it expertly, sauteeing garlic and shallots in hot oil before adding egg, rice, and all the seasoning. Because we’re in Indonesia, you can take your nasi goreng to the next level with huge amounts of fiery chili sambal chili sauce, and even a little red tomato sauce to give you fried rice color and extra flavor. The thing that truly sets Nasi Goreng Cak Moo is how he fries your rice perfectly and dry in the wok so it’s extremely smoky!

No doubt, this was one of the best plates of Indonesian fried rice that I’ve ever had!
