Wood turning, Wood carving, and Pyrography. I enjoy sharing the Craft it is a satisfying activity. I hope to inspire anyone wishing to delve into the world of Wood Turning and/or Carving, and maybe a little Wood Burning (Pyrography). I was given a 1981 Delta Spindle Lathe from a dear friend to start my journey a few years ago. And Carving, well I've been at that for an uncounted amount of years. The Pyrography is just an extension of my Artistic abilities with the Pencil. Of course operating a wood burner takes a delicate touch and lots of practice, but the shading principal is the same. I was born and raised in New Hampshire and mostly use indigenous woods, Maple, Hickory, Oak, Cedar, Birch, Cherry, but every so often I stumble upon something from out of my area that is more exotic.
And if anyone is wondering or noticing, I wear Dixxon Flannels. Most of the time.
