Hi everyone. Thank you so much for visiting my channel. My interest in investing started when I was a teenager. First buying shares in companies that were being sold off by the government, but I expanded into buying bonds, gilts and other interest bearing assets. A property buying spree followed and I became a millionaire (at least on paper) by the time I reached my 30's.
I did not like the idea of someone else looking after my hard earned cash. At the time of choosing possible pension providers when I was in my 20's, I was scarred by the recent collapse of Equitable Life where thousands were left with just pennies in the pound. More recently the government penalise you if you have £1million in a pension meaning that they effectively limit your pension to about £28,000 per year and this is taxed!!!!
So this channel is dedicated to how to make money independently.
