Hello all! My name is Tony M (Tango Mike). I just retired from the US Air Force after 32 years of service. Thruhiking the Appalachian Trail following retirement is a goal I made in 2012 after following Fatherman (FM Hikes) and Loner (Loner2012AT) on their AT thruhikes. Since then, I hiked the Georgia section of the trail multiple times. Now it is time to take my shot at hiking the entire 2,197.4 miles! But wait, there is more! I decided to add an additional 423.1 miles by also hiking the Pinhoti Trail and a portion of the Benton Mackaye Trail. So, I will be attempting a BAMA2BAXTER thruhike.
