Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana (RMHCK) is Louisville’s only organization founded to provide a “homeawayfromhome” for families of children receiving healthcare at area medical facilities.

Our Ronald McDonald House is built on the idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on their child’s recovery – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal, or where they will lay their head at night to rest. Our House is just two blocks from Louisville’s downtown hospitals, including Norton Children’s Hospital.

Ronald McDonald House opened on September 10, 1984. For the past 35 years, Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms have served over thousands of families, providing the comforts of home while caring for their sick children. Our staff and volunteers offer love, strength, and support, just when families need it most.
