People and Carnivores' mission is to reconnect and restore carnivore populations in the Northern Rocky Mountains by working with the region’s people to prevent humancarnivore conflicts. We develop, test, implement, and share tools and practices that reduce humancarnivore conflicts, enhancing both backcountry/wildland and occupied habitats by reducing access to unnatural food sources and other carnivore attractants. We focus these efforts primarily in geographic areas that serve regional connectivity needs, allowing grizzlies, wolves, and other species to move between current and potential habitats.
