Dutch South Korean, awardwinning musician Lavinia Meijer is one of the most diverse harpists of the 21st century. She is passionate about broadening the possibilities of the harp and exploring new repertoire. Lavinia Meijer has performed with artists such as Iggy Pop, Laurie Anderson, Philip Glass, Sufjan Stevens or Ludovico Einaudi but also with likeminded classical ensembles such as the Kronos Quartet. Her albums Metamorphosis/The Hours and The Glass Effect, for which she was working with Philip Glass, were a worldwide success reaching golden and platinumstatus. For “Fantasies and Impromptus” she received an Edison Award. Lavinia Meijer was awarded with the Dutch Music Prize, the highest decoration by the Dutch Government for classical musicians. In 2014, she joint the Dutch King and Queen during their state visit to South Korea as a performing artist. She is ambassador of Save a Child’s Heart and supports WarChild.
