Kokopelli Spirit Journey began in 2016 as a series of six events at historic and sacred sites along Interstate 10 from Malibu to Blythe. KSJ provided a platform for indigenous culture bearers from California and the southwest featuring performers, crafts people and elders sharing their wisdom and talents. KSJ was founded to develop and advocate for the California Coast Desert Trail. From the sandy shores of the mighty Pacific Ocean to the dusty banks of the once wild Rio Colorado, this hiking, biking, and riding route will one day connect over 250 miles of ancient pathways and modern pavement across Southern California.
